Jordan Weissmann, Slate‘s senior business and economics correspondent, writes and throws out a bunch of numbers indicating that the law school class of 2018 is in a better position to land jobs (that parents can be proud of) than its 2013 counterpart. Things appear to be looking up as reduced law school solicitation and enrollment over the last couple of years (due to meager job prospects) means that, a) applicants endure less competition being accepted to a decent school; and b) matriculating fewer students results in decreased rivalry for the employment spots available within the legal industry upon graduation.
