- When is it best to drip dry?
Hint:
Answer: when using a public restroom, it apparently is best to kill a tree or let one’s hands dry naturally. 3. When is it best to lose your virginity?
Hint:
Answer: when your genes (and a few other influencers) tell you the time is right. According to one expert, “[w]e were able to calculate for the first time that there is a heritable component to age at first sex, and the heritability is about 25%, so one quarter nature, three quarters nurture.” Affecting the age at which people first engage in sex are genes that drive reproductive biology, including the release of sex hormones and the age of puberty, while other genes are implicated in behaviour, personality and appearance. One gene variant links earlier-than-average sex with risk-taking behaviour and having a greater number of children. For late bloomers, a genetic variant in play is, not surprisingly, linked to irritability. Another potential later-onset-sex marker is red hair and freckles in women. Read more here.
