The Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), two of the largest professional associations in the field of artificial intelligence, have announced a new joint conference on AI, Ethics and Society. The first annual conference will be held in New Orleans on Feb. 2-3, 2018.
The organizers are presently soliciting papers for the conference. Topics for which short papers are invited include:
- Building ethical AI systems
- Value Alignment
- Moral machine decision making
- Trust and explanations in AI systems
- Fairness and Transparency in AI systems
- Ethical design and development of AI systems
- AI for social good
- Human-level AI
- Controlling AI
- Impact of AI on workforce
- Societal impact of AI
- AI and law
The conference organizers expect papers by researchers across several disciplines, including AI, computer science, philosophy, economics, and the law. There will also be a track for student papers.
