Day 1 of the American Association for the Advancement of Science 2021 Meeting

Arizona State University is hosting the 2021 American Association for the Advancement of Science Annual Meeting. The all-virtual meeting is the first ever to offer dozens of free, public events. The plenary session on COVID-19 in 2021 is presented by, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Dozens of ASU faculty, staff and students will present on various topics ranging from the future of humans in space to innovating organic agriculture.  Included in the event is a Public Events Passport, free to non-members to attend e-poster galleries, plenary events, workshops and more. The first day of the annual meeting is packed with engaging lectures that are sure to provide a new perspective on science advancement. Starting with a conversation with Foundation Professor for the School of Earth and Space Exploration, Lindy Elkins-Tanton, led by Emmy Award-winning journalist Bret Hovell and ending with a discussion on virotherapy, and how it can help develop a live vaccine against COVID-19.
