Arizona State University was listed as one of the top five ‘Best Schools for Legal Technology” by preLaw Magazine, published by the National Jurist. The Winter 2021 issue ranked each school based on offerings related to technology and opportunities each school provides for students. The analysis takes into consideration the labs, student groups, clinics and externships, as well as each school’s centers and journals. This is the second time ASU has been ranked on preLaw’s “Best Schools for Legal Technology” list, the last time was from their analysis in 2018.
The issue cites the speed legal technology is adapting, and how COVID has accelerated the process. Now more than ever, it is important to prepare students for what lies ahead. In the article, written by Mike Stetz, it notes that during the last analysis of schools for legal technology in 2018, it was “an emerging field that was garnering more attention given its promise.” Now, after the pandemic, the legal sector will “be increasingly dominated by technology.”
